Mrs. Maira Silva was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas. She attended grade school at St. Patrick's Catholic School and graduated from Bishop Carroll High School in 2001, and Wichita State University in 2004. She began working as a para-educator at Horace Mann in the Dual Language Program and student taught at Allison Middle School. She began working at STA in the 2004-2005 school year. She married Esteban in March of 2006 and is expecting her first baby! Sra. Silva is a parishioner at St. Patricks and enjoys teaching PSR in Spanish at Cathedral. Some of her hobbies include dancing and modifying cars and trucks. She is very happy to be part of the STA family as the Spanish / Cultural Awareness teacher.
